CLASSIFICATION:

Junmai • Pure Rice Sake

Muroka • No charcoal filtration

Nama • Unpasteurised

Genshu • Undiluted

The Asahi Wakamatsu sake range made by Naka Shuzō are some of the most sought after because of their quality and rarity.  This Asahi Wakamatsu is a brewed with a blend of Omachi sake rice & Nihonbare table rice. The Omachi rice is grown by Matsuura-san himself and the Nihonbare is sourced from a local grower. As with all of the Asahi Wakamatsu’s, this example is stunning and a great example of combining rice types to create an even more complex sake. This has a herbaceous fragrance and wonderful texture and wine-like grip on the palate. The finish is complex, dry and long.
