Each year Maruo-san has been buying this rice from a young grower in Iwate prefecture. In 2013 the entire production was just 780 kg, which Maruo-san bought the whole lot to make this Sake. Now after ageing this for 5 years we think it is drinking beautifully. A pungent savoury, nutty, cheesy nose leads to a full and round palate with a hint of sweetness. Layered and complex this Sake will only soften and gain from some exposure to air.
