Hoshiko
Created by legendary Japanese bartender Danny Aikawa who in 1979 dreamed of creating a truly unique Japanese liqueur from Ume fruit. As he could only attempt to create this Ume based product once a year, all up it took 17 years to develop the recipe (which is a closely guarded secret).
"Because it's a real liqueur, it has a delicious taste that's definitely worth it."
Hoshiko is made from carefully selected Wakayama ume fruit, making it an "original liqueur from Japan that stands alongside the world's finest products. In addition, the citric acid in Hoshiko's ume and the various spices are said to have a revitalising effect on the body, making it a perfect drink for modern life.
Hoshiko is a premium plum liqueur made by steeping carefully selected plums harvested that year in a vodka base and flavoring it with a variety of herbs and spices. It is brewed once a year and released in limited quantities.
It can be enjoyed in any situation, whether as an aperitif, with a meal, or after a meal.
