Established in 1868, Chochin Shuzo is situated in Tsushima City which is located at the westernmost point of Aichi Prefecture. The Kuromoto [Owner] & Toji [Master Brewer] at Chochin is Masayuki Kuwayama.
‘Shinbunshi’ means wrapped in newspaper and this refers to the distinctive packaging of the bottles. The Shinbunshi 65 is produced from Yamada Nishiki rice grown in Awa in Tokushima prefecture. A layered and complex sake, full bodied with grip and tension on the palate. Sensational!
